Disability Day on the Hill provides opportunities for self-advocates, families, and disability professionals to meet with state legislators at the Capitol and tell them about issues important to people with disabilities.
Legislators and policymakers listen to and rely on their constituents to share their knowledge and experiences. The only way they really understand how important issues in our community are is if we tell them. The more of us who attend, the stronger our voices are. To share YOUR story, just call and set up in-person meetings with your state legislators. DSAMT can help you with this.
